Mrs. Wertheimer's favorite thing about leading Grace Prep is "praying with the children when resolving conflicts, seeking godly resolutions and seeing grace and forgiveness extended to each other. Seeing God’s work in these little lives is such a privilege."

With much joy, we are welcoming Kim Stanfield as our new 3rd & 4th grade teacher at Grace Prep. She has a Bachelor's of Science and her Masters in Education from the University of Virginia. She has more than twelve years of experience combined as a fourth grade teacher, substitute teacher and private tutor. In addition to her professional work, she also has tirelessly volunteered in a variety of roles for both public and independent schools in the area as a trustee, committee co-chair, and parent volunteer. Kim loves to sing, serving on the worship team at Grace Chapel, Lexington as a vocalist. She also serves in Children’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry. She and her husband, Troy, have raised their family in Needham and their three children are in college and law school. Their two chocolate labs keep them
company at home.
Mrs. Stanfield's favorite thing about teaching children is
"savoring moments where I can really focus on them—to attend to what they find interesting, or worrisome or funny. I love to know what makes children smile. This year, because of masks, I am especially focused on their beautiful eyes! They tell me a lot."
Carina is both a Grace Prep mom and teacher. In years past, Carina has taught Math, Art and Music at Grace Prep. In 2020 she joined us as the 3rd- 5th grade teacher. Carina loves the Lord and has used her musical gifts serving in worship at two churches for over 13 years. She has a Masters in Special Education and has a special way of challenging her students in fun and encouraging ways. Her energetic nature has been a wonderful gift to our upper class students.
Mrs. Tsuneta's favorite thing about teaching at Grace Prep is
"that I get to really learn my students. Having taught at a regular school setting before where I was not able to do this, I am grateful that I get to learn my students in a deeper way at Grace Prep. Our character training curriculum and biblical discipleship mindset, facilitated by our small student to teacher ratio, allow me to get to know and love each of my students. I get to invest in these souls academically and spiritually and see them bear fruit! For that, I am grateful."
Amanda has the privilege of participating in the Grace Prep community as both a parent and a teacher. The arts have been an integral part of Amanda's life for as long as she can remember; from piano lessons to art club to marching band and musical theatre, she has enjoyed a variety of experiences along the way! Amanda holds a Masters in music and has taught classroom music and private music instruction. She is also on staff as the music director at Christ the King Presbyterian Church, where she has served for almost 16 years. Amanda loves revealing connections between the arts and other areas of study and life.
Mrs. Holley's favorite thing about teaching the arts is
"helping kids (and adults!) see the beauty and creativity of God and the things he has made, and then giving them the tools to respond and express themselves in beautiful, creative ways."

Mrs. Marando's favorite thing about Grace Prep is
"seeing students being encouraged in their studies and their faith at the same time. Having teachers who will pray with our kids and remind them of scripture as they engage in their studies is such a blessing and a beautiful reflection of Christ's love. The fruit of such intentionality is evident as we watch these children grow."
