Values and Educational Philosophy

1. Christ-centered Education

It is our first priority to “Love the Lord our God with all of our hearts, all of our souls and all of our minds and to love our neighbors as ourselves.” – Matthew 22:37-39 We do this through Bible reading and prayer at school and at home as well as the discipline of scripture memorization.

2. Excellent Education

Whatever we do, we will encourage our children to do their best. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for man.” – Colossians 3:23. While we do not ascribe to only one philosophy of education, we are highly influenced by the Charlotte Mason and Classical philosophies.

3. Gentle Learning

While we encourage excellence, we do not want to push your child to do more than he/she can handle. We encourage the classroom and home teacher to communicate regarding strategies for learning.

4. Love of Learning

We want our children to love to learn. Though there are certain skills, like reading and math, that are more drill-based and require much concentration, we hope to provide a rich curriculum that will allow your children to enjoy and look forward to learning.

5. Relationships

We want our children expand their relationships with God, parents, family, others and school subjects.
