About our University model School

University Model Learning

Our University Model® school is a 5 day academic program where students spend 2 days a week in the classroom and 3 days learning from home ("satellite classroom"). This unique model creates a learning environment that integrates biblically-based, parentally-guided, and teacher-directed learning with the goal of students becoming spiritually and academically independent in preparation for college.

How The University Model Works

Mondays and Wednesdays are in-school days where students enjoy a full day of school with peers from 8:00-3:20. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, parent-teachers lead their children at home/satellite classroom using teacher directed lesson plans. This allows you the parent, to remain as the main influencer of your child's instruction as directed by Deuteronomy 6, with educational guidance and curriculum planning provided by professional teachers working alongside your family.

Carefully chosen curriculum ensures children will be challenged and equipped in each subject as they study and grow in knowledge and wisdom of the world God has created. As children reach the older grades, they become more independent in self-led studies.

Through singing, bible lessons and prayer, students are encouraged to grow in their faith and love of Christ during Chapel each week. Monthly character traits encourage personal growth throughout the year, and bi-weekly scripture memory supports children in discipleship throughout the week, as they see God work in all aspects of their lives.

Students God-given gifts and creativity are explored and encouraged through physical activity, role play, art, music, and nature study.
